Victoria is an adorable coastal city on the southern tip of Vancouver Island. Victoria has a population of just over 90,000 people, and attracts nearly 4 million people every year! Victoria also happens to be the capital of beautiful British Columbia. Victoria has also always been very close to nature, even sporting three resident pods of orca whales which total just over 80 whales, not to mention the renowned Jacques Cousteau Society rates the ocean around Victoria second only to the Red Sea for diversity of marine life and water clarity, making it one of the most sought after places to go swimming, whale watching, and especially diving since the National Geographic recognizes Vancouver Island as one of the best cold-water diving destinations on earth. This perfection is only compounded by the climate, as since Victoria is both Canada’s southernmost city, and surrounded by coastline, it makes it lovely and temperate year round.
